ArcHub - WPML or Polylang not working properly
If you have added a new language to your site and created a page in that language, but the page is not displaying properly, then this article will help you.
This issue occurs because your header and footer do not have a translation in the language you just added. To fix the problem, all you have to do is manually create translations of your header and footer in the language you just added.
WPML users can follow the steps below to fix the issue:
- In the WordPress Dashboard, go to the Headers & Footers pages and Click the "Edit" button for each of your header/footer templates.
Use the "Duplicate" option to duplicate your header template in all other languages via the WPML options on the right of the edit screen. (Don't click the "+" symbol, because WPML's Advanced Translation Editor is not supported by our theme, you need to use the manual translation.)
And that's all, copies of your header in all other languages have been created. Now you can edit them separately for each language.
Polylang users can follow the steps below to fix the issue:
In the WordPress Dashboard, go to the Headers & Footers pages and add the missing translations by clicking the "+" symbol next to your header/footer templates.
And that's all, now you can edit them separately for each language.
If you are using Polylang together with Elementor page builder on your site, you must install this plugin for better compatibility: https://wordpress.org/plugins/connect-polylang-elementor/
