HUB Elementor - Updating Theme (Manually)

Due to some server configurations, the normal update method may not work on some sites. So you can update the Hub with the methods here:

Manual Update

Download the latest version of the Hub from your Themeforest downloads page. Extract the hub.zip, hub-core.zip and hub-elementor-addons.zip files from the zip archive you downloaded.

After extracting them, there are 2 ways of updating the theme manually:

Updating via WordPress dashboard

  • Navigate to Plugins page on your WordPress dashboard.
  • Deactivate Hub Core and Hub Elementor Addons

  • Click on the Add New button on the Plugins page.

  • Click on the Upload Plugin button and select hub-core.zip file then click Install Now.

  • After waiting a bit, you should see this screen. Click on the Replace current with uploaded button.

  • After you see the text "Plugin updated successfully", click on the Go to Plugin Installer link.

  • Follow the same steps above and install the hub-elementor-addons.zip file as well. Note: Don't activate them for now.
  • After updating the plugins, now it's time to update the theme.

    Navigate to Appearance > Themes page on your dashboard and click on the Add New button.

  • Click on the Upload Theme button and select hub.zip file then click Install Now.

  • Click on the Replace current with uploaded button.


  • After you see the text "Theme updated successfully", go to the Plugins page and re-activate Hub Core and Hub Elementor Addons.

That's all!


Updating via FTP

  • Connect to your hosting via an FTP software
  • Unzip the hub.zip file on your computer
  • Upload the extracted Hub theme folder to wp-content/themes/hub, the theme will be updated by overwriting all the files of the previous version.
  • Follow the same steps to update Hub Core and Hub Elementor Addons. Note: Plugins are located in wp-content/plugins directory.
